As administrator of the Energy Efficiency Fund (EEF), Gaz Métro provides financial assistance under its various energy efficiency programs.
1. Use of this site
This Web site belongs to the EEF, which operates it for your personal and non-commercial use and information. 2. Content protected by copyright
All content, including trademarks and logos on this Web site may not be copied, reproduced, re-published, downloaded, posted, transmitted, distributed or modified, in whole or in part, whether in a textual, graphic, audio, video or executable form, without written authorization from the EEF.
3. Program data
The material and information presented for each EEF program are material and information that the EEF believes to be reliable at the time posted and they are given for information purposes only. Gaz Métro and the EEF do not guarantee that the material and information provided are accurate and complete or that they are up to date at all times.

Links and references to other Web sites are provided simply for your convenience. The EEF has not verified and does not explicitly or implicitly endorse other Web sites or any information or material accessible via such links, or their accessibility, and it assumes no responsibility for these other Web sites, their information or material posted or the products and services offered.
5. Deadlines for requests
Requests for financial assistance must be made to the EEF:
- within 4 months following the date the work is completed for programs in the residential sector, or within 3 months for programs in the socio-community sector; or
- after submitting a project outline form to the EEF before the work begins*, as well as all the documents requested, within 2 months following the date the work is completed for programs in the business sector.
Any request received after the deadline may be refused.
6. Supporting documents
Gaz Métro reserves the right to require additional supporting documents to those requested in the iinformation provided on its programs.
Also, once the work is completed, the owner must allow Gaz Métro representatives access to the building or buildings so they can verify the construction and implementation of the energy efficiency measures. Following that visit, Gaz Métro reserves the right to revise or cancel the financial assistance determined for the request. In the case where the financial assistance has already been paid, Gaz Métro may demand a partial or total reimbursement, if the work is judged not to conform to the program.
7. Exclusion of liability
- Gaz Métro shall not be liable for any damages, either direct or indirect, arising from the use of the information or material contained in the various programs on this Web site;
- The EEF shall not be held responsible for the malfunction, damage or breakage of any nature whatsoever, resulting from the installation of technologies made public by the EFF;
- Gaz Métro shall not be held responsible for damages or harm of any nature whatsoever resulting from one or more of its programs;
- Gaz Métro shall not be held responsible for errors and omissions or for the non realization of energy savings as a result of the measures proposed or devices described in its programs.
8. Gaz Métro reserves the right:
- To modify or cancel programs without prior notice;
- To interpret the terms and conditions of the programs;
- To accept, refuse or adjust the energy savings of any measures proposed by customers or any other individual involved;
- To refuse any proposal not meeting program criteria or to request modifications to a proposal;
- To limit the number of projects if and when the budget reserved for the programs has been exhausted;
- To have files reviewed by third parties;
- To withhold payment of financial assistance to a customer who is in default of payment of their gas bill, until settlement of the amount owing.
9. In participating in one or more of these programs, the customer:
- Must inform Gaz Métro of any other financial assistance received relating to the project;
- Agrees that the following information may be divulged: their identity, address, building description, annual gas consumption, eligible costs of the project(s).
- Must obtain Gaz Métro’s agreement before publishing or rendering public, any information pertaining to the financial assistance granted
10. Eligibility for the programs
- The EEF programs are aimed at Gaz Metro customers whose primary heating or whose water heater is supplied by natural gas. Gaz Métro customers whose home is equipped with a heat pump or other dual energy system may be refused from participating in its programs;
- Customers subject to Tariffs 4 and 5 are not eligible;
- Projects representing energy savings of less than 100 cubic metres may be refused.
