ENERGY STAR

The ENERGY STAR symbol affixed to some models of windows and sliding glass doors helps to easily identify premium quality products that:

  • Reduce energy costs;
  • Improve the year-round comfort of your home;
  • Reduce outside noise;
  • Depending on humidity level, are less subject to condensation in cold weather than standard products.

Make the right choice!

Consult the ENERGY STAR symbol and the sales literature relating to the product you have chosen.

  • The products purchased must be ENERGY STAR qualified for the climate zone in which you live. There are 3 zones in Québec (B, C or D). Consult the map on the right to identify your zone.
  • You can also check with the Office of Energy Efficiency (OEE) to see if your windows and sliding glass doors are indeed ENERGY STAR qualified. Consult the OEE site or call 1 800 387-2000 toll free.
  • For optimal energy efficiency, call on a professional when installing windows. Poor installation may result in problems with air or water infiltration or faulty operation.
